Dubbo Regional Livestock Markets are installing a second circular cattle draft that separates the handler from the cattle.

Atlex was chosen to construct the new circular draft that will lead into the scales. It allows cattle to be drafted post sale before weighing and will separate cattle from the handler in the safest possible manner, which is cattle friendly.

This is modelled on the highly successful initial circular draft installed at Dubbo Saleyards over two years ago to handle large mobs of western cattle that have had little handling in their lives and may be a little “flighty”. This was designed and built by Atlex Stockyards.

The development will take less than three weeks and includes overhead drafting and a roof over the complete draft and will not impact on any sales.
