We were established in 1961 in Hay, NSW, and formed to meet the needs of the rural communities in
that area. Since that time, the focus of Bidgee has not changed but the demand for our products has.
Bidgee now services a client base that stretches through the Wimmera, Mallee, Millewa, Sunraysia,
Riverland and Riverina regions of Victoria and New South Wales.
The company is owned by more than 200 shareholders that reside throughout these areas. Bidgee has
more than 12 million shares on issue and employs 30 staff.

Finance Products
The majority of our clients use Chattel Mortgage (CM) product. With a CM the mortgagor is
able to claim the full amount of any GST paid as part of the equipment purchase price irrespective
of whether they are on a cash or accruals basis for GST.
The payments do not attract GST either.
A variety of terms and repayment structures to suit seasonal income streams are available.
Leasing can be a tax effective way of financing your equipment purchases. Flexible terms and repayment
options enable you to choose the structure that best fits the unique needs and cash flows of your
business. Given the tax implications of leasing, you should consult your accountant or financial
advisor to ensure it is suitable to your individual requirements.
Hire Purchase
Hire purchase facility is not very common since the introduction of GST, as a client on a cash
accounting basis can only claim the GST as payments are made through the term of the contract.
As such, the Chattel Mortgage facility is generally more suitable these days.
