A stockyard system which turns a chore into an efficient one-person operation is a major investment, so it’s important to get it right at the start.
We specialise in custom-designing stockyards to make your stock work quicker, easier and safer. We travel anywhere in Australia to listen to you, understand your needs and survey your site. As a result of our visit and expertise, your design will be personalised, precise and based on our deep understanding of animal psychology.
Our on-property design service
is comprehensive and meticulous
We will listen and understand exactly what you’re looking for in your new design, whether you’re starting from scratch or renovating existing yards.
Using our Robotic Theodolite, we will have millimeter-accurate dimensions of your site and existing features such as wool shed, fence lines, holding yards or trees.
A two-dimensional design is drawn to scale, including existing features which you plan to incorporate into new design, allowing for quick and easy editing to assess options; and a three-dimensional design is available to help you visualise options.
You may wish to incorporate existing features or purchase your yards in stages to make it more cost-effective; this is considered in your design.
Our design principles are peer-reviewed by Temple Grandin, a world authority on animal psychology, to ensure that our designs promote easy flow of animals and eliminate stress and frustration.

“As they say…it’s better to make a mistake on paper then in practice. We spent hours using Ian and his design program to come up with yards that are exactly what we need. Each site is different so has different parameters; there is certainly NOT one size fits all in the yard building game. The on-property design is probably the best value for money in the whole deal.”
